Medeama head coach, Nebojsa Kapor, has admitted that their 2-0 win over Hearts of Oak was very tough.

The defending champions were outplayed in the first half of the Ghana Premier League week 25 game but rebounded in the second half to win the encounter.

The team from Tarkwa clinched a 2-0 win against the Phobians at the Akoon Park on Wednesday, bouncing back from consecutive 1-0 defeats against Accra Lions and FC Samartex.

Coach Kapor noted the tough nature of the game, particularly in the first half, linking the team's challenges to the pressure from recent losses.

Despite early errors, Medeama rallied and improved significantly in the second half, ultimately securing a 2-0 win over Hearts of Oak.

“This match was very tough especially in the first half maybe because of pressure because we lost two matches.

“This is always something very difficult for players; we made some basic mistakes but after we calmed down a little and achieved a good performance and this is the reason why we scored two goals and won this match.”

The match saw goals from Kobina Amoah and Godfred Abban, propelling Medeama to a crucial win that lifted them to fifth place in the Ghana Premier League standings.
