Hearts of Oak midfielder Ibrahim Salifu delighted to be back from injury

Hearts of Oak midfielder Ibrahim Salifu has expressed his happiness in returning from injury after several weeks of absence.

The 22-year-old has been hampered by injuries since last season and missed the team's opening game of the season against Aduana Stars which they lost.

Salifu, who was key to Hearts' league title triumph last two seasons made his return to the team in the goalless draw against Karela United at the Accra Sports stadium on match week six.

"It's good to be back after a long injury. We had a good game but not the result we wanted," he said after the game.

"Gradually, we shall get to the level Slavko Matic is demanding of us. We are focused on our next game."

Hearts of Oak have dropped to 10th on the league table after six matches played so far.

The Phobians will take on league leaders Accra Lions on match week seven before the Premier League breaks for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
