Hearts of Oak will come good despite Aduana Stars defeat - Club legend Mohammed Polo

Hearts of Oak legend, Mohammed Polo believes the club will come good and show their class despite their opening day defeat against Aduana Stars.

In the matchday 1 games of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League, the FA Cup champions were hosted at the Nana Agyemang Badu over the weekend.

Bright Adjei's strike was enough for the home side to pick all three points against Samuel Boadu's side.

However, Polo is confident the Phobians will learn from the defeat and come good in their subsequent matches.

"I think it’s a lesson learned. It’s a learning process," the 1978 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] winner with Black Stars told Citi Sports.

"What happened to Hearts of Oak last year they have learned it and am sure this time it’s not going to happen.

"They are going to develop and show their class…and I hope they will live up to expectation," he added.

Hearts of Oak will hope to secure their first three points of the season when they host their city rivals, Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium in the matchday 2 games on Sunday with kick-off scheduled at 15:00GMT.
