The Communications Director for the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Henry Asante Twum has given insight into why deciding the fate of the 2019/2020 football season is very difficult.
According to him, there has been a lot of spending on the part of the football governing body amounting to a gargantuan $1 million on top of spendings by other stakeholders including StarTimes Ghana who are the Television Right Holders.
In an interview with Atinka FM, Henry Asante Twum explained, "GFA has spent $1m dollars on this season alone including GPL, DOL, and WPL".
"Startimes on the average spend $4,500 on every production and there are partners to consider so when you are making a decision you need to consider all this".
The Ghana FA is continually in talks with the government and other key stakeholders as it looks for a way to complete the football season.
The body says it will make a decision on the fate of the season after June 30, 2020.
