Host and win will be possible if Ghanaians come out to support us – Black Princesses coach Yussif Basigi

Black Princesses head coach, Yussif Basigi is dreaming of 'host and win' as his team heads into the finals of the WAFU Zone B Girls U20 Cup of Nations tournament.

According to the coach, the host and win agenda can be completed if only Ghanaians will troop to the stadium on Saturday to cheer on the team.

“If we will host and win, the fans will help us to achieve that because their massive support can also be intimidating enough for us to win. We hope they come in their numbers to support and cheer us to victory,” coach Yussif Basigi said in an interview with the media team of GFA.

Speaking on facing Nigeria in the finals, the Ghana U20 Girls coach acknowledged that his team is coming up against a tough opponent.

“We are meeting a side that hasn’t conceded any goal and have scored more goals but at times Football logic doesn’t work. The permutations might not give you the right results. We couldn’t convert many chances in our previous games but we have worked on that and hopefully, we can convert them against Nigeria,” coach Yussif Basigi indicated.

The final between Ghana and Nigeria comes off on Saturday, June 3, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The game will kick off at 18:00gmt.
