Hungarian side MTK Budapest FC sign Stephen Amankona on a three-year deal

Hungarian side MTK Budapest have completed the signing of Ghana youth attacker Stephen Amankona from Ghana Premier League side Berekum Chelsea in the ongoing transfer window.

Amankona, 18, penned a three-year deal with the Hungarian top-flight club after passing his medical and completing the formalities.

He has been one of the top performers in the Ghanaian top-flight league for the past season for the Blues and was on the radar of several Ghana Premier League clubs as well as clubs in Europe.

The highly-rated youngster played an instrumental role in Ghana U20 qualification to the 2019 Africa U20 Cup of Nations in Niger.

Last year, he was named among the Top 20 teenage wonder kids in the Ghana top-flight.

Amankona made 14 appearances and bagged five goals for Berekum Chelsea during the first round of the truncated 2018 Ghana Premier League season following the airing of investigative by ace journalist Anas Aaremeyaw Anas on corruption in Ghana football.
