Ghana defender, Tariq Lamptey says he is still learning and can't wait to get to the high level of his playing career.

The 22-year-old until his unfortunate injury was a key figure for Brighton and Hove Albion under Roberto De Zerbi.

Brighton for the first time will play Europa League football after finishing 6th in the just-ended Premier League campaign.

According to the former Chelsea right back, he keeps learning and still hopes to get to the higher level of his career.

"I am developing, I am always learning from the people around me," he told Citi FM.

"I am looking forward to seeing my progression in the future and I can't wait to get to the high level," he added.

Having switched nationality to play for the Black Stars despite featuring for England at several youth levels, Lamptey made his Ghana debut against Brazil in a friendly as part of the preparations for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Lamptey made Ghana's squad for the Mundial and made an appearance against South Korea.

He is expected to miss out on Ghana's matchday five game against Madagascar in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) next month due to an injury.
