Abdul Razak, a former coach of Asante Kotoko, has made a statement denying that he ever purchased matches during his time with the team.

Razak, who is a former Ghanaian international footballer and one of the most successful coaches in Ghanaian football history, has vehemently denied any involvement in match-fixing, stating that he has always upheld the principles of fair play and sportsmanship throughout his career.

"They don't remember a lot of things we will be going away to play football what time will I get to go and give money to someone to allow us to score have you heard this before. I was coming from Mali I won twice there before coming here so when they did that I couldn't go back to Mali. So did I pay money in Mali for four years?" he told Dan Kwaku Yeboah TV

"Those saying that should talk well. We are have suffered the league they said we haven't won it in nine years to ten years I cant recall. The kind of players we had do you think we cant beat any team we had Owu, Louis Quainoo, Aziz Ansah, Moses Tetteh, TV3, Areeba, Kwame Agyaba, Oduro, Mark Asante, Chibsah, a had a lot of choice to make Frank Osei, Nana Arhin Duah, Shilla later we had Charles Taylor's issue. If you have this and won the league then you pay money did I pay it or who paid it,"
