Ghana football legend Asamoah Gyan says he does not see anything wrong with the resignation of Otto Addo as Black Stars coach after the 2022 World Cup exit.

The Germany-based trainer stepped down after Ghana exit at the mundial in Qatar to continue his role as talent development coach of Borussia Dortmund.

In an interview, the all-time top-scorer for the Black Stars asserted there is nothing wrong with the exit of Otto Addo.

“For me, I don’t see anything wrong with it because he said it before they went to Qatar. His contract ends immediately after the tournament so I don’t see anything wrong with his resignation whether he even wins the World Cup or not he was still going to resign”

Meanwhile, the Black Stars have been ranked the 24th best team at the just ended 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar which was won by Lionel Messi inspired Argentina on Sunday.

The four-time African champions failed to progress past the group stage after recording two defeats and a win.

Otto Addo's men lost 3-2 to Portugal, bounced back to beat South Korea 3-2 and lost 2-0 to Uruguay in an entertaining World Cup exit.

Despite failing to go past the group stage, the African giants placed 24 in the index rankings after the tournament saw Argentina beating France in a nerve-racking final to clinch their third World Cup title.
