I don't think I will be treated this way if I played for Hearts, Kotoko or Dreams - Abednego Tetteh

Abednego Tetteh, the standout performer of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League, has voiced his profound dissatisfaction with the way he has been treated.

After receiving what he deemed a paltry 5000 cedis voucher at the GFA Awards the top goal scorer added that he doesn't think he will be treated this way if he played Accra Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko, or Dreams FC.

Expressing his disappointment, Tetteh drew a stark comparison between his reward and that of the league's best player, leaving him questioning the fairness of the system.

The disgruntlement has reached a point where Tetteh declared his reluctance to ever don a Ghanaian team's jersey again.

Even a call-up to the Black Stars failed to alleviate the sting, as he watched a player with a lesser goal tally receive the coveted opportunity in his stead.

"If was playing for Hearts of Oak now, play for Asante Kotoko or play for Dreams FC will they do this to me," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

"In my mind I think it is discrimination that they are doing or I have wronged someone because I don't understand 500 cedis voucher that I should go and look at my teeth," he added.
