Minister for Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif has backed the Ghana Football Association [GFA] following the release of new Black Stars jerseys.

Puma, who are the kit sponsors for the national team have released a new jerseys for the four time African champions ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Following the released, Ghanaians have called for the redesigning of the jersey before the global showpiece in Qatar.

However, Hon. Ussif have defended Puma, and insists that he's confidence in the Ghana Football Association decision to use that jersey.

"You know Puma before they release such kits they would have gone through all the processes that's required. And I can assure you that the FA technical department have taken notice of everything. Puma doesn't just get up to print what they've done, it's the FA," he said.

"The ministry doesn't involve in the selection of football kits for our teams it's the FA and I have confidence in what they've done," he added.

Ghana, who have been housed in Group H will open their campaign against Portugal on November 24 at Stadium 974 in Doha.

Four days later, the Black Stars return to action with a clash with South Korea at the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan.

Ghana will wrap up their group stage adventure with their much-anticipated encounter with Uruguay at Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah.
