Ghanaian international Alfred Duncan has expressed his preparedness to break into the first eleven of his new club ACF Fiorentina.

The Black Stars asset joined the Viola from Sassuolo in a loan deal on deadline day of the winter transfer window but will be signed permanently at the end of the ongoing 2019/2020 Italian Serie A season.

On Thursday morning, the midfielder was officially unveiled to the Italian media at a pre-match press conference ahead of the team's match against Sampdoria this weekend.

Speaking to journalists, he noted that the midfield of his new team is very solid and hence he will need to work hard in training to get a role.

"Obviously we're not happy about our position in the table. I think our midfield is solid - I'll have to work hard to find space in the team.

"To improve our position in the table we don't need anything specific, just to be able to express our qualities - we need to be calm", Alfred Duncan shared.

Sharing his thought on how his new club can improve their position on the Italian Serie A table, he said: "Fiorentina as a club have everything a player wishes. It's a strong club, great fans. The fans can make a difference, the club can make us achieve great things."
