Ghanaian international, Inaki Williams has disclosed that he wants to finish the 2022/23 season with good numbers.

Last season, the highly-rated forward scored eight goals and provided five assists after making 38 appearances for Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish La Liga.

During that season, he played mostly as the central striker although his natural position is to play on the wings.

In pre-season, his manager Ernesto Valverde has switched him back to the wings for the upcoming season.

Speaking to the Spanish Press before the start of the new campaign, Inaki Williams says his focus is on finishing with improved numbers.

"I hadn't played on the wing for a year and a half or two years, but I feel comfortable. Ernesto made me come up and put me in that position.

"I'll try to contribute from that position by breaking away and breaking away. Hopefully, I can improve my numbers from other years," the new Black Stars attacker said.

This weekend, Inaki Williams is expected to be in action for Athletic Bilbao when the team takes on RCD Mallorca in the first match of the season.
