Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder, Daniel Kodie says revealed he once felt his career had come to an end.

The 25 year old suffered a sickening injury in his first year at the club during the 2019 Normalization Committee’s Special competition.

The rugged midfielder was reportedly told he could no longer play football until he has had a surgery.

His surgery was delayed due to financial issues and Kodie at a point felt his career had ended after the successful surgery in South Africa last week.

“I felt my career had come to an abrupt end after that threatening injury,” Kodie told Fox FM.

Kodie remains grateful to Hearts of Oak’s majority shareholder, Togbe Afede XIV for his gesture.

“I am extremely grateful to his Majesty for such a wonderful gesture.

“The man is really working ,let’s all rally support behind him,he will take us to the promised land,” the former Liberty Professionals midfielder added.

He is expected home in the coming weeks to continue with recovery.

Kodie joined Hearts of Oak from Liberty Professionals in 2016 in a two-year deal.

His recovery will add some grit to the Phobian midfield that is if he is re-signed by the 2000 and the 2004 CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup winners.
