Ghana Under 23 coach Ibrahim Tanko has stated he will call up foreign players to beef the current team for their upcoming assignment.

Coach Tanko is preparing a team for their upcoming Olympic qualifier with Togo at the Baba Yara Stadium on December 18.

The team played a friendly with Asante Kotoko which they lost 3-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Ibrahim Tanko after watching the home based players go down hinted the need to get some foreign players into the team.

“We are going to have some foreign players in the team. This game has given me a fair idea about the team and the players we can work on. Because we only have nine days to prepare for the game. With the foreign and the local players I think we can build a good team”

“I think by two or three days I will have some of the foreign base players who are already here. And then others will join few days before the game. If I have those who are here and I think we need friendly games definitely we have to play all friendly game before the Togo game”

The Black Meteors will host Togo on 18 December, 2018 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi and the second leg in Lomé four days later.
