In-form Bechem United winger Augustine Okrah gets Black Stars call up ahead of AFCON 2023 qualifiers and Kirin Cup in Japan

In-form Bechem United winger Augustine Okrah has been named in the Black Stars squad for the upcoming 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers and Kirin Cup in Japan.

The Black Stars will play Madagascar and Central African Republic in qualifiers next month before traveling to Japan for the four-nation tournament.

Ahead of the various international assignments, Otto Addo has named 33-man squad with Okrah no exception.

Okrah, a former player of Kotoko has steered the Hunters to the MTN FA Cup final and are also in contention for the Ghana Premier League title.

The former Kotoko star after scoring a beautiful goal from over 40 yards in the MTN FA Cup semifinal against Aduana Stars sent a request to the technical team of the Black Stars for call up.

This means his request has materialized after being named in the 33-man list on Thursday morning.

The enterprising winger has bagged 14 goals for Bechem United in the league.
