Ghanaian striker Ebenezer Assifuah scored a brace as Le Havre defeated Auxerre 4-1 in the second week of the French Ligue 2.

The former under-20 golden boot winner pulled parity for Le Havre after going down in the early minutes of the game.

Forward Roman Philappoteux shot Auxerre into a well deserved lead before Assifuah scored twice to set the tone for a cruising win.

The former Liberty striker struck out the 27 minute opener from Roman on the 68th minute before putting his side ahead with 5 minutes to play for.

The inspired Ghanaian import however made way for the fast improving Ayasse with just two minutes left on the clock.

Le Havre added color to the score line with two goals in the last three minutes to surge top in the second tier in France.
