It was just one of those days; a very bad day at the office – Coach Ogum gives verdict on defeat to Legon Cities

The head coach for Asante Kotoko, Dr. Prosper Nartey Ogum has insisted that his team had an off day on Sunday when the side lost 3-1 to Legon Cities FC.

The Porcupine Warriors suffered a second consecutive defeat in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season for the first time yesterday in a matchday 26 encounter.

Reacting to the defeat, Coach Ogum stressed that his team had a very bad day at the office.

“I think is just like one of the bad days at the office. I mean is one of the bad days on the field. Defensively, I think we allowed them spaces especially looking at the third man without the ball, we didn’t keep an eye on those players who acted as third players running without the ball and if you look at the second goal that we conceded, and then the third goal were photocopies of each other,” the Asante Kotoko head coach said.

Despite the defeat to Legon Cities FC, Asante Kotoko remain top of the Ghana Premier League table and has a good chance of finishing the season as champions.
