Crystal Palace star Jordan Ayew converted from the spot to restore Ghana’s lead but the Cranes staged a comeback in the dying embers of the game to snatch a draw after Mohammed Shaban found the back of the net.

“It’s always an honour and I’m grateful,” he wrote on Instagram.

Annan joined Serbia Superliga club Novi Pazar from Bologna last summer after a loan spell at Imolese in Serie D. He was voted as the best left-back in the first half of the Serbia Superliga last year.

He has been an integral member of Novi Pazar since joining the club last summer.
