James Ampofo shines with assist in Raufoss's narrow defeat to Fredrikstad in Norwegian Cup

In a thrilling Norwegian Cup match, Ghanaian striker James Ampofo provided an assist in Raufoss's 3-2 loss to Fredrikstad.

The pre-game head-to-head record stood at three wins for Raufoss, two for Fredrikstad, and three draws.

Ampofo, who started the game at the NAMMO Stadion, played for 84 minutes before being substituted by his fellow Ghanaian, Yaw Agyeman. Another Ghanaian, defender Maxwell Woledzi, played the first half for Fredrikstad.

The match was a rollercoaster of goals, starting with Henrik Kjelsrud Johansen's opening strike for Fredrikstad in the 12th minute, assisted by Brandur Hendriksson. Raufoss quickly equalized through Torjus Engebakken a minute later. Sondre Sørløkk then put Fredrikstad back in front in the 24th minute, again assisted by Hendriksson. However, Raufoss leveled the score once more in the 29th minute, thanks to Sander Nordbø's goal, assisted by Ampofo.

Fredrikstad took the lead for the third time in the 49th minute through Hendriksson, assisted by Stian Stray Molde. Despite Raufoss's best efforts, they were unable to equalize again, resulting in a 3-2 victory for Fredrikstad.
