Dutch-born defender of Ghanaian descent, Jeremie Frimpong has expressed his excitement after he marked his Europa League debut in Celtic colours last Thursday.

The teenager joined the Scottish giants in the last summer transfer window from English Premier League side Manchester City.

Because he did not join the Hoops on time, the club could not register him on the roaster for the preliminary stage of the Europa League.

After impressing and establishing himself as a key member of the Celtics side, however, Jeremie Frimpong has been registered for the knockout stage.

Facing off with FC Copenhagen in the round of 32 stage of the European competition, Frimpong who relished about making an appearance was handed a start.

At the end of the day, he helped Celtics to draw 1-1 with their opponent on Thursday night.

In a Twitter post after the match, Jeremie Frimpong expressed his delight on Twitter while stressing that his team needs to stay focus on the return leg.

“Happy to make my European debut but the job isn’t done yet Parkhead awaits!," the post read.

The 20-year-old is expected to be in action for the Hoops next week Thursday when they go into the second leg of the tie.
