Jeremie Frimpong returns to training after recovering from hip injury

In a promising turn of events for Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen, Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Jeremie Frimpong has made a triumphant return to training after successfully overcoming a troublesome hip injury.

The former Celtic defender, who had to cut short his international duties due to the ailment, commenced the new week with dedicated individual sessions and showcased his readiness by joining his teammates once again on Wednesday.

With the weekend clash against SV Werder Bremen looming, Frimpong's swift recovery has alleviated concerns, affirming his availability and bolstering the team's prospects for the upcoming fixture.

Jeremie Frimpong has made 11 appearances, scored three goals, and assisted five in the Bundesliga this season.

He recently signed a new contract with Bayer Leverkusen despite links to top clubs in Europe.

The 22-year-old joined the Werkself from Scottish outfit Celtic on 27th January 2021 for 11 million euros.

Bayer Leverkusen is 1st on the league table with 31 points after 11 games.
