Anderlecht winger, Jeremy Doku, has confirmed that Liverpool tried to sign him three years ago.
He stated that he was shown around the facilities there and had the opportunity to meet some of the staff including Jurgen Klopp and Sadio Mane.
"It was a bit crazy, though. I was only fifteen, Liverpool invited me with my parents. They showed me around. The stadium, the training complex. And we were received by the cream. Sadio Mané came to talk to me, Jürgen Klopp was also interested in me," he told Sport Foot Magazine.
The now 18-year-old ended up staying and is one of the key players under Vincent Kompany's setup. He has also been linked with the Black Stars.
