Jeremy Doku's performance for Belgium at Euro 2020 has Liverpool supporters excited

After a strong showing by Belgium winger Jeremy Doku at Euro 2020, Liverpool supporters believe they've found the next Sadio Mane.

The 19-year-old earned his seventh appearance for the Red Devils in this summer's competition.

After securing qualifying with a comeback win against Denmark, Roberto Martinez's team finally breached the Finnish defense to complete a flawless group stage after Thomas Vermaelen's header ricocheted off the post and hit Finnish goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky before crossing the line.

Doku showed flashes of brilliance and danger for the Belgians in the first half, his finest chance coming when he surged inside and curled towards the far corner, only to be stopped by Hradecky's powerful left arm.

He played for 76 minutes and did not hurt his prospects of continuing in the competition by continually twisting and turning the Finland defenders. He created three opportunities before to his departure.

Last season, the Rennes striker has two goals and three assists in 30 Ligue 1 games.

Clear why LFC have reportedly been interested in Doku. Reminds me of a younger raw version of Mane.

Doku looks tenacious. Like a younger Mané.

Doku reminds me of Mane in his Southampton days and early days with us

Jeremy Doku is so obviously the Sadio Mané successor. It’s ludicrous. It’s like someone’s remade Sadio in a lab.
