John Boye plays full throttle in FC Metz’s 2-1 win against Reims

Ghana defender John Boye lasted 90 minutes on Sunday afternoon when his FC Metz outfit defeated Stade de Reims 2-1 in the French Ligue 1.

The experienced defender has been in impressive form since the 2020/2021 football season in France started.

In a Matchday 3 fixture at the Stade Saint Symphorien, John Boye earned a starting role and enjoyed another good game to help his team.

Having defended very well, FC Metz took the lead on the 18th minute courtesy a strike from Ibrahima Niane after he was teed up by Farid Boulaya.

Later in the half, Boulaye Dia scored to draw level for Reims before the two teams went into the break.

Fortunately, FC Metz had the men to go the extra mile in the second half and managed to score again through Ibrahima Niane on the 88th minute.

At the end of the 2-1 win, John Boye had a good game and celebrates his team’s first win of the season.
