The Ghana duo of Jordan Ayew and Jeffrey Schlupp featured for Crystal Palace on Monday evening when the team suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Burnley in the English Premier League.
In what was a Matchday 9 fixture of the 2020/2021 English top-flight league season, Jordan Ayew was named to lead the attack of the Eagles alongside Michy Batshuayi.
Unfortunately for Crystal Palace, Burnley had too much under their sleeve and run away with all 3 points at the end of the 90 minutes courtesy of an 8th-minute equalizer from Chris Wood after he was assisted by Jay Rodriguez.
Although Jordan Ayew worked his socks off for the visitors and impressed in the attack, his inputs could not save the side from defeat.
In the second half, the striker’s compatriot Jeffrey Schlupp was introduced to replace Jairo Riedewald in the 67th minute.
The versatile player did his part but couldn’t change the result at the end of regulation time.
