Jordan Ayew set for Swansea return ahead of Crystal Palace move

Ghanaian international, Jordan Ayew is set to return to Championship side Swansea City ahead of a potential move to Crystal Palace before the start of the 2019/2020 season.

The players who spent last season on loan with the Eagles after Swansea got relegated into the lower tier side.

Though he struggled to make the impact he hoped for at the club, it is understood that his performance at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) has impressed Palace who is now eager to sign him on a permanent deal.

According to reports, Palace has reached an agreement with the Swans for a £2.5m fee with add-ons to see to the permanent of the former Olympic Marseille man.

Talks of the deal with the player had been delayed due to the fact that he has been on national assignment with the Black Stars in Egypt.

After bowing out at the round of 16 following a defeat to Tunisia, the player is now expected to return to Swansea in the next couple of weeks to complete the deal.

During the 2018/2019 season, Jordan Ayew only scored twice for Crystal Palace after making 24 appearances.

He will be hoping to better that statistics next season if he secures a permanent deal to the club.
