Ghana striker, Jordan Ayew scored and assisted a goal on Tuesday evening but it was not enough to secure victory for the Black Stars.

In the friendly match against Uganda, the Cranes showed impressive fighting spirit as the side came from behind twice to hold Ghana to a 2-2 draw.

Today’s friendly match was played at Grande de Stade Marrakech, Morocco.

In the exciting encounter, the Black Stars scored after just six minutes into the first half.

Defender Jerome Opoku found the back of the net with a header after meeting a well-taken corner kick from Jordan Ayew.

Although Ghana would continue to dominate the game, Uganda managed to come in strong and restored parity through a penalty kick converted by Steven Mukwala.

Before the halftime break, Jordan Ayew scored from 12 yards to make it 2-1 for the Black Stars.

In a pulsating encounter that ensued in the second half, the Black Stars conceded in the last 10 minutes as Uganda forced the match to end in a 2-2 draw.

The results mean Ghana could not win a single game in the two matches played in the March international break.

The first game ended in a 2-1 defeat to Nigeria before today’s stalemate.

Coach Otto Addo and the Black Stars will return to action later in June for the next round of qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
