Ghanaian international Joseph Paintsil played a cameo role for his KRC Genk side on Sunday when they posted an emphatic 3-0 win against Zulte Waregem in the Belgian Pro League.
The highly-rated forward who is an integral part of Genk’s setup started the match from the bench in the away match.
On the 72nd minute, Joseph Paintsil was introduced into the match to replace Kristian Thorstvedt who had already registered his name on the scoresheet.
The Ghanaian showed signs of his quality and helped his team to control the match while protecting their three-goal lead. They eventually bagged the 3 points with Joseph Paintsil getting the minutes to stay in good shape.
He will be expected to start in subsequent matches as Genk look to build on the win to better their position on the standings of the division.
