Ghanaian international Joseph Paintsil on Monday evening netted a brace for MKE Ankaragucu when the team lost to Alanyaspor in a seven-goal thriller.

The two teams were in action at the Bahcesehir Okullari Stadyumu today in a match that is serving as a matchday 20 fixture of the 2020/2021 Turkish Super Lig season.

On the back of a bright start to the match, MKE Ankaragucu took the lead in the 3rd minute when Ghanaian forward Joseph Paintsil scored with an assist from Saba Lobzhanidze.

Later on in the first half, the youngster was at his best again and netted his second of the match to double the lead for the visitors.

Unable to hold on before the break, Alanyaspor grew in confidence and halved the deficit in the 38th minute through an equalizer from Salih Ucan.

After recess, the home team capitalized on the momentum and eventually turned things around courtesy of goals from Anastasios Bakasetas and Khouma Babacar to take a 3-2 lead.

Although Aliou Badji will three minutes later draw level for MKE Ankaragucu, a strike from Francois Moubandje in the 79th minute wrapped up the win for Alanyaspor.
