Juventus Chief Expects Arsenal Target Massimiliano Allegri to Stay With Juve Next Season

Juventus chief executive, Giuseppe Marotta, is confident that Massimiliano Allegri will avoid any attempts to lure him to the Premier League by Arsenal at the end of the season in favour of remaining with the Serie A club.

"Is Allegri 100 per cent certain to stay?I think so, right now there are no impediments to that,"Marotta told Italian outlet Mediaset.

"We're always very close with Allegri, there's a great relationship with him," Marotta continued."We're happy with him, and he with us, so the problem doesn't even arise."

His side currently sit at the top of Serie A, eight points ahead of Roma, and remain on course to lift the title for the fifth year running.

Things weren't as straightforward as usual last time out however, with Juve being held to a 1-1 draw away to Udinese on Sunday. The 14th placed side took the lead in the first half and piled pressure on the leagueleaders throughout the game, only to see Leonardo Bonucci equalise with a header.

The dropped points weren't too much of an issue though with second placed Roma losing 2-1 to third placed Napoli, thanks to a Dries Mertens brace.

It's not all plain sailing for Arsene Wenger over at Arsenal at the moment, with the Frenchman coming under increasing pressure from fans - and also apparently players.

Alexis Sanchez was dropped to the bench for the 3-1 loss to Liverpool which saw the Gunners dumped out of the top four and the decision to bench the Chilean blamed on a reported falling out between the pair.

The club's top goalscorer this season has been spotted looking a lot happier recently in comparison to his recent weeks of on-the-field outbursts, sparking rumours that he is on his way out in the summer.

As well as Sanchez, Mesut Ozil is yet to sign a new contract with uncertainty surrounding the futures of both players as the stand-off continues.

Whether or not one, or both, of the players will leave in the summer remains to be seen. But if recent rumours are anything to go by, Sanchez linking up with Allegri is just as likely as Allegri taking over the reigns at the North London club.
