Juventus confirm Cristiano Ronaldo deal

After weeks of speculation Juventus have finally confirmed the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid in a €112 million deal.

The Portuguese star has penned a four-year contract for around €30m a season, with Bianconeri owners Fiat thought to be financing some of the 33-year-old’s wages.

A statement on the Bianconeri’s official website read: “He’s called Cristiano Ronaldo and he’s now officially a Bianconero!

“Juventus are delighted to announce that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has signed for the club on a four-year contract until 30 June 2022.

“Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that the agreement with Real Madrid Club De Fùtbol S.p.A. for the definitive acquisition of the registration rights of the player Dos Santos Aveiro Cristiano Ronaldo has been reached for a consideration of €100 million payable in two financial years, in addition to the solidarity contribution provided by FIFA regulations and additional costs of €12 million.”
