Kevin-Prince Boateng will miss Hertha Berlin game against Wolfsburg due to injury

Due to knee problems, Kevin-Prince Boateng will be unable to participate in Hertha BSC's last regular-season match against Wolfsburg on Saturday.

Hertha Berlin coach Pál Dárdai heaped praise on Kevin-Prince Boateng following an exceptional first-half display against Bochum.

Head coach Pal Dardai put the former AC Milan player in the starting lineup against VfL Bochum. As the coach stated in the press conference following the final whistle, it was a wise decision, even if it wasn't enough to win the game.

The 36-year-old, who will end his career at the conclusion of the current campaign.

The former AC Milan and Barcelona midfielder has started five games this season in the Bundesliga. Kevin-Prince Boateng's minutes per game this season is 30 minutes.

Boateng returned to Hertha BSC on  23 June 2021 from Italian club Monza. The 35-year-old helped Hertha Berlin to stay in the Bundesliga last season.

The club rewarded his effort in the playoffs by giving him a new deal which will expire at the end of the season.

The player was recently given an ambassadorial role by the city of Berlin for Euro 2024. He is expected to retire at the end of the 2022/23 football season.
