Kumasi Asante Kotoko has extended their condolence to Charles Taylor and his family following the passing of his mother over the past weekend.

The former Porcupine Warrior lost his mother on Saturday after battling an illness for quite some time.

Upon hearing the news, a post on the Twitter page of Asante Kotoko has said: “We are saddened by the passing of the beloved mother of our former player, Charles Taylor”.

The Kumasi-based club continues by extending their condolence to the ex-Ghana international who is held in high esteem for his display of quality during his playing days.

“We extend our heartfelt condolences to our brother, his family, and everyone affected by the loss”, the Kotoko post added.

Charles Taylor spent a year with Kotoko and played a key role to help the team to win the 2003 Ghana Premier League title. He is now retired but stays in the football circle as a coach.
