Kotoko management wrote to South African embassy to deny me visa - Paa Kwesi Fabin discloses

Paa Kwesi Fabin, former head coach of Asante Kotoko says his former employers wrote to the South African embassy to deny him a visa.

The former Ashgold gaffer stepped down as the head coach of the Porcupine Warriors after seven months in charge.

After his resignation, a video went viral in which the former Black Starlets trainer was seen negotiating a deal with a president of an unknown club in South Africa.

He was heard saying he will fly to South Africa if the club sends him some amount of into his account to settle his family before he joins them.

“I decided not to talk about this to anyone but I want to say it today. Kotoko took a letter to the South African embassy to deny me a visa, which I won't be able to authenticate who sent it there,” he told Kumasi based Kessben FM.

The former Inter Allies gaffer further revealed that the management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko wrote to the South African Football Association (SAFA) to complain that a team from their federation wants to induce their coach to walk out of a contract which was yet to expire.

“I didn’t want to muddy the waters, Kotoko again wrote a letter to the South African Football Association (SAFA) to report that a team from their federation wants to induce their coach to walk out of a contract which was yet to expire, and am making all these revelations because of the falsehood Chief Executive Officer(CEO) George Amoako is spreading.”

The former Ghana Premier League champions are yet to appoint a replacement for Paa Kwesi Fabin.

Multiple reports have also emerged that over twenty-seven coaches have tendered in their application letters for the job.
