Asante Kotoko midfielder Baba Yahaya is urging the fans to throw their support behind the team despite their struggles in the Ghana Premier League.

The record Ghana Premier League holders are in a challenging period having gone four matches without a win for the first time in 14 years, resulting in a downturn in form.

Kotoko have managed just a win out six games in the second round, losing five in the process.

Currently lying 10th on the league table, the team is gearing up to face Bechem United this weekend.

Speaking ahead of the clash, the former King Faisal midfielder has called on the club fans to support the team as they aim to turn things around.

“We faced similar challenge in the first round but the fans showed love and we turn things around. We’ve not fared well in the second round and I will urge the fans to show us love again and support us to turn things around as soon as possible” he said.

The Porcupine Warriors will face the Hunters on Saturday at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park as both teams aim for maximum points in the upcoming fixture.
