Ghanaian International Lalas Abubakar has expressed his readiness to play for the Black Stars while noting that the lack of call-ups does not discourage him in any way.

Current playing for Colorado Rapids in the Major League Soccer (MLS) in the USA, the defender has established himself as one of the best players in the division with his 5 years’ experience.

Unfortunately, he is yet to get a national team to play for the Black Stars. Opening up on the neglect in an interview with Accra FM, Lalas Abubakar says he is not discouraged but motivated to work even harder.

"Am never discouraged. The national team is all about chances. When it's your time you will be called.

"After playing for the U-20 team too am sure if I work hard I will surely get the national team call-up will come. I know God's time is the best", Lalas Abubakar said.

He continued, "So for now am focused and am working hard. I know once I continue working hard at the club level I will surely be called".
