LaLiga president Tebas: We\'d be happier if Neymar joined Man Utd not PSG

LaLiga president Javier Tebas says they would've been happier if Barcelona had lost Neymar to Manchester United rather than PSG.

Neymar's £200million transfer record deal was completed yesterday and the Brazilian has been unveiled as a PSG player this afternoon.

In Spain, a player must buy himself out of his contract and La Liga attempted to stop the move by claiming it violated UEFA's Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules.

But eventually, the Brazil international's lawyers paid the buy-out clause in person at Barca's offices last night.

Tebas told RAC 1: "It is a contractual relationship between Barca and the player.

"If Neymar goes to the club and deposits €222million (£220.5m) Barca will have no choice but to accept it.

"What we want to understand is the origin of this €222m, if it is illegal.

"If Manchester United were to come, there would be no problems, we would have nothing to say because it is not a doped club.

"PSG is a state-run club and we have to end this situation as soon as possible."
