Black Stars goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi has started preseason with St. Gallen ahead of the start of the 2023/24 season.
The 26-year-old featured for St. Gallen in a preseason friendly against Austrian side Dornbirn on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.
At-Zigi played the full 90 minutes as they emerged 4-0 winners on the day.
20-year-old Albin Krasniqi scored the game's opener after 20 minutes to send St. Gallen into the break with the advantage.
At the start of the second half, substitutes Nikolaj Moller and Gregory Karlen scored the other goals to wrap up the game.
Moller scored the second goal of the game just a minute after recess to cushion St. Gallen's advantege.
He then added another goal to make it 3-0 in the 51st minute before Karlen coverted a penalty to end the game 4-0.
Lawrence Ati-Zigi finished the season as the best goalkeeper in the Swiss League as voted by the Swiss Footballers Association.
He has been Ghana's number one too since the end of 2022.
