Legon Cities coach Paa Kwesi Fabin blames Kotoko’s defeat on players’ failure to adhere to instructions

Legon Cities coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has pointed fingers at his players following defeat to Asante Kotoko in the week 12 fixture of the Ghana Premier League.

The Royals threw their lead away as Kotoko came from behind to secure victory at the WAFA Park in Sogakope on Saturday.

Legon Cities took the lead with Nasiru Moro's splendid free-kick finding the net in the 27th minute.

But the Porcupine Warriors stage a comeback to secure a 3-1 away win over their opponent. The equalizer came in the 67th minute courtesy of an own goal from Mohammed Suleman.

Subsequently, Stephen Mukwala extended the lead for the away side in the 75th minute, and Isaac Oppong sealed the victory late in injury time.

After the game, Paa Kwesi Fabin said his side we punished over player’s failure to follow instructions.

“I think we did well in the first half. In the second half, I gave a specific instruction to the players but they something different. If you are playing a team like Kotoko who have more experience you will get punished and we got punished” he told StarTimes.

Legon Cities drop to the relegation zone with 12 points on 16th position after the defeat.
