Heart of Lions defender Patrick Wilson Mensah has accused Legon Cities of playing “haram” football after scoring on Monday in their Ghana Premier League match week 16 game at the WAFA Park.

He said this after their 1-0 defeat to Legon Cities on Monday in match week 16 of the Ghana Premier League at the WAFA Park.

Speaking after the game, said the Royals took advantage of their only chance of the game and defended with their lives after.

“In yesterday’s game, we played well took control of the game had three clear chances but couldn’t score, they had a chance, scored, and defended until the end,” he told Sahara Football.

Despite the win, the Royals still sit 8th on the league table with 21 points while Heart of Lions are still winless and are bottom of the league with 8 points.

Just 15 minutes into the game, William Kwaku Adjei banged in the only goal of the clash to deliver victory for the hosts.

New manager Bahir Hayford could not inspire his side to get an equaliser in the second half, with the game ending 1-0 in Sogakope.
