Legon Cities to set release Asamoah Gyan and three others

According to FMIG, Ghanaian football icon Asamoah Gyan is going to be released by Premier League club Legon Cities.

According to information received by FMIG, the Royals are dissatisfied with Gyan's first year at the club following his high-profile move to the club.

Gyan arrived in a big-money deal last season, bringing with him sky-high expectations. However, he missed the target for being out of shape as a result of an extended layoff. Injuries plagued his time there as well.

The club has chosen to let him leave in order to enhance their team for next season, as well as to reduce the salary bill due to Gyan's take-home pay.

Baba Mahama, Anim Cudjoe, and Victorien Adebayor are among the players set to be released with the former Sunderland player.
