Legon Cities head coach, Bashir Hayford has praised his side following their win over AshantiGold in the matchday 27 games.
The Royals pipped the Miners 1-0 at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium with Issaka Mohammed scoring the only goal of the game.
“We fought hard for the win. It wasn’t easy at all but the boys showed more determination and hunger,” the gaffer told reporters.
“We knew this will be a difficult game because AshantiGold lost their last game and so we prepared in every aspect to make sure we return to Accra with the victory.
“The defending from the team was great. I love their reaction without the ball. We hope to continue this our run.”
Cities have picked three victories in their last four games.
The victory moves Legon Cities to the 9th on the league log with 35 points.
Legon Cities will play Inter Allies in the matchday 28 games this weekend but will play against Uncle T in midweek in the MTN FA Cup.
