Leicester City Midfielder Danny Drinkwater Accepts FA 3-Match Ban for Violent Conduct

Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater has accepted the Football Association's charge for violent conduct which will see him miss the next three domestic games through suspension.


The 26-year-old was punished for an apparent elbow on Watford'sValon Behrami during a 2-1 defeat at Vicarage Road on Saturday.

While the incident in the 67th minutewent by unnoticed by match-day refereeNeil Swarbrick, it was caught on video, leading to retrospective action from the FA.


Drinkwater will now missmatches against Middlesbrough (26th November), Sunderland (3rd December) and Manchester City (10th December).

The news will come as a huge blow to Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri, who has struggled to recapture his side's Premier League form from last season.


Leicester sit precariously in 14th after 12 games, losing six times already which is twice the amount of defeats suffered all of last season.


Next up for the title-holders is a home game against Middlesbrough, who sit one point behind Leicester in 15th.
