Sergio Agüero, a Barcelona attacker, was rushed to the hospital for testing after being substituted during his team's 1-1 draw with Alavés at Camp Nou on Saturday, according to Barcelona's caretaker coach Sergi Barjuan.
In the 41st minute, Agüero had to be replaced. After motioning to the top of his chest and throat, the Argentine was attended to by team medics on the pitch. He was able to walk away after stretching for a minute on the turf.
According to accounts in the local press, he was taken to the hospital by ambulance during the second half.
“I asked him and he said that he was a little dizzy, and I just heard that they have taken him to hospital. That is all I know,” Barjuan said.
Following the contest, Barjuan did not provide any specifics.
Agüero, 33, joined Barcelona as a free agent this season after leaving Manchester City.
