Commenting upon PSG victory over Lille, 27-year old Brazilian international centre-back and team captain Marquinhos stated:

"Yes, that's true. I think it's important to know that the team gives it their all until the last minute. Even though we started badly, I think it was a difficult start to the match. The two halves were completely different, in the first half we struggled a bit and then it was better in the second half. We controlled the game better, had more possession and chances. I think that the result showed how the match went. The second half was more Paris and the first half more Lille. 2-1 is a fair score in my opinion... it's true that it's always better when you win even if you always have to think and improve.

A win hides some things, so we need to know that we can improve. Every game tells a story and you have to prepare for each one. I think that even though we won we've got a few days to work and to put things in place because Wednesday is a very important match for us. We know that in the Champions League every game is a final it's not easy and we need to put in a good performance there to bring some points back home".
