Liverpool's summer clear out is rolling along quite smoothly, with goalkeeper Adam Bogdan expected to leave the Reds for Wigan.

TheLiverpool Echoreports that the Hungarian stopper is desperate for first-team action, and underwent a medical at Wigan on Tuesday.

Bogdan was left out of Jurgen Klopp's squad for Sunday's friendly against the Latics, and it is understood that the German boss held discussions with the opposing manager, Gary Caldwell, with regards to deals between the two clubs.

The 28-year-old was back at Melwood for training on Monday. but won't feature in Wednesday night's match at Huddersfield. He won't be part of the squad for their USA tour either.

Simon Mignolet is due to return to training this week and new keeper Loris Karius has started all three friendlies so far. Teenager Shamal George will be the one travelling with the club as third keeper.

The Reds also had former Arsenal keeper Alex Manninger training at Melwood in recent weeks, having taken the 39-year-old Austrian up on trial with a view to signing him as back-up for Mignolet and Karius.

Manninger hasn't played in England for 15 years, but spent four seasons with the Gunners, and was part of their title-winning squad in 1998.

Bogdan, meanwhile, joined the Reds on a free transfer from Bolton last summer, but could only manage six appearances in all competitions during his first season at Anfield.

A mistake in his Premier League debut versus Watford saw him lose his place as back-up keeper to Danny Ward after Christmas. That resulted in him getting snubbed as Hungary made their Euro 16 squad.
