Liverpool U23 captain Harry Wilson hailed the influence of Danny Ings for last night's victory over Manchester United.

Ings had two good chances cleared off the line by United's defence in the 3-1 win.

"You've got to be in those positions to miss them. I'm sure his luck will change soon. We all know what a deadly finisher he is at whatever level he plays at," Wilson told Liverpoolfc.com of Ings.

“We're glad to have him in the team, not only for his goalscoring but for his work-rate and the experience that he brings. It's always great to have him.

“To play up front with him and learn off his movement and his finishing, it's great for the team."
