Locadia points to Albion exit

Dutch striker Jurgen Locadia has admitted that he will consider his future in January, having found first-team opportunities limited at Brighton this season.

The 25-year-old joined the Seagulls from PSV Eindhoven last January, for what was then a club record fee, believed to eventually be in the region of £15million.

At Brighton, I do not feel that my situation will change quickly.

He scored once in seven Premier League outings last season, while this term he has made just one league start for Chris Hughton's side and is clearly unhappy with the situation he finds himself in.

He told De Telegraaf: "I try to stay positive, but I also get older. I am now at an age that I have to play every week. At Brighton, I do not feel that my situation will change quickly.

"In my opinion, I never had the chance to show what I am worth. I think winter is a good time to think if this is still good for me.

"In the summer a departure from Brighton was not an option, although there was interest. Then I agreed with my agent to look at the situation in the winter - soon there will be a conversation.

"I respect Brighton, but I hope they respect me in this situation. I hope for a club in Spain, Germany, something like that."

Locadia has seen his opportunities limited due to the ongoing fine form of veteran Glenn Murray and the summer arrivals of both Alireza Jahanbakhsh and Florin Andone.

Brighton are currently priced at 10/1 to be relegated this season, while they are 1/16 to beat the drop and 4/1 to finish in the top half of the Premier League table.
