Main thing is win more games and stay in Premier League - Southampton newboy Kamaldeen

Ghana winger Kamaldeen Sulemana says his main goal with Southampton is to score more goals to help the South Coast club win more games and stay in the Premier League.

The Saints are bottom of the table after 21 rounds of games with 15 points, with Kamaldeen joining on deadline day of the January transfer window.

The 20-year-old is relishing the challenge and hopes to help his new side escape relegation.

"I’m very excited to show each and everyone here what I’m capable of doing," the former Stade Rennes speedster told the club in an interview after making his debut on Sunday against Brentford.

"Hopefully I can make an impact in the game. Create chances, score goals, but most importantly get the win.

“I’m looking forward to giving my all to the team. Do what I do best, help the team win. That’s the most important thing.

"Hopefully we’re able to win more games and stay in the league. That’s the main thing.”
